After waiting in line with ugly scene girls-one of whom smoked the whole time-for 2 and a half hours during which time it rained for over an hour, we were let into the venue. Mat, the singer from Kill Hannah, walked into and out of the bus while we were in line. Though he was no more than a foot in front of us, he looked busy and we didn't want to bother him. We finally got to pee, and then made our way up to the front of the pit. It wasn't much of a "pit", made up completely of weak little girls, and we were in the front row.
The first band comes out and I only know that they are The White Tie Affair from the name on their drums. They play a great show, and even though they sound like a boy band on CD, they're much better live. Their songs are very boy band-ish, though. Just with more black. The singer, Chris, has a great torso. The next band comes on, and I think they're The Medic Droid throughout the first song-which lasted, like, ten minutes. what the fuck. I remember thinking, since when was Chris Donithan so oddly shaped? But eventually realize that they are Innerparty System (I think.)They were far too loud and far too synthesized. The Medic Droid came on after a good twenty minutes of setting up, and they were awesome. Chris' hair needed help really badly. All of their songs are about sex-and they spare no details. He did a good job up pumping up the crowd, though. He was like, "hey! start moving!" so we FINALLY got to mosh a bit. It wasn't even real moshing, damn wusses. There was this ugly gnome behind me, though, and she would not stop fucking pushing me. I made it my mission not to let her through. HA.
Finally, at, like, 9ish Kill Hannah comes on. Mat's hair is a complete mess. Ugh. They played some of my absolute favorites, though. I sang along to almost everything and it was amazing.
"We played this song at Fuse the other day, and they are one of my favorite stations, and they asked us what this song means. And I told them, that back when I felt alone and, really like an alien, I listened to this song "Don't Give Up." I must have listened to it about 29 million times. But, I hoped that one day Kill Hannah would have a song like that."
Then they played Song That Saved My Life, and I sang every word like my life depended on it.

We, of course, didn't get to meet them. We could've met the guys from the supporting bands, but like. They weren't that good. I respect The White Tie Affair more, though. I might have said hi to him, but I didn't see him. Medic Droid is made up of a bunch of asswipes, I swear. And someone needs to tell a lot of these scene guys that tight pants is not a good look on everyone.
Best night ever. I love them so fucking much, and I'm really glad I am myself.
P. S. "We have some our most die hard fans here in NYC, and not only the most die-hard, but also the bravest. Thank you guys for waiting in the rain all that time.
But the good news is, Kill Hannah fans look good wet."
