Maine is crazy, there's probably 40 kids here and there was almost an all out brawl between The LovedOnes fans and security. Dave isn't allowed back in the building or else he'll be arrested for criminal trespassing. Now they're saying they aren't even going to give them their guarantee (or any money for that matter) because basically Dave told the crowd to have fun and not listen to the security guards who posted " NO MOSHING/DANCING/PUSHING" signs everywhere. And kids listened to Dave and had a great time until they started getting manhandled by SG's and kicked out. I miss this kind of show. The kind of show that reminds you of your roots and demands respect for what we believe in. Punk rock/hardcore shows. I mainly miss them because of the sense of difference I feel. We are different people than these security guards, we are different people than these venue owners, and we most certainly have a different sort of heart than these kids growing up with bands like Hawthorne Heights and Fall Out Boy. Don't get me wrong, I respect those bands for working to be where they are and I'll be the first to congratulate them, but they breed a different sort of fan than my peers and I grew up to be. The girls are just looking to get a good fuck in with one of the bands and the guys are just looking to fuck one of those girls who fail miserably at getting in with the bands.

No matter how normal we feel in our own skin, we'll always be different. And because we're different we'll always have difficulties and tensions with people who don't understand our way of living, our passion, and our dedication. They've been manipulated into believing anything that strays from their path of belief is wrong. Sometimes these tensions have to lead to violence, that's the way it always has been. Even the most peaceful beings will retaliate when attacked. Human nature will get you every time.

"Where's your anger? Where's your fucking rage? RISE."

I'm done being nostalgic for the day.
