The man who killed my grandma was not indited(sp?)
Not even involuntary vehicular manslaughter, nothing.
Their reasoning? She wasn't in a crosswalk. 10 feet from it to be exact. Let's keep in mind this is Gratis fucking Ohio where the town is exactly a one block radius. It consists of a gas station, 3 churches, a bank, and a post office. Now, I can understand if this were a city and there were numerous amounts of people walking out in front of cars and coming out of no where because I've lived like that before, it happens. I SAW people get hit on a weekend basis for the most part. BUT this is an 80 year old woman crossing a street in GRATIS. It's going to take a large amount of neglegence on the driver's part to hit a woman of this age(with who it takes at least 1 minute to get to the point in the street where she was hit). Either way, this man doesn't have to pay for anything. NOTHING. None of the hospital bills, funeral costs, etc. We're talking to a lawyer tomorrow about the next step, a civil suit. This should have been over last month. Now it won't be over for about another year.
Which brings me to my next point. Before you talk shit on me and say "Stacy's been home for 2 weeks and hasn't hung out with me yet" or "She never answers when I call" Just try to remember what the fuck I've been going through the past three months with this and everything else. I don't feel like hanging out too much anymore, sorry. But if you're only my friend for hangouts, then seriously, you can fuck off. I'm tired of hearing from everyone else how you feel. You can call me and tell me how much you don't like me anymore, but I probably won't answer, so leave me a petty message.
Basically, what I'm saying is, I only talk and hangout with my family/the handful of friends I still consider to be best. I'm fine with that. You should be too.
"God, I miss those songs we used to sing, talking like getting away would be the greatest thing. Well me, I got out, and you kept singing to me.
Like that's really going to set this free."
