(no subject)
Things are getting back to normal slowly. We went to Manchester, NH for a reptile show and we did really well for a change. It was busy all day long and we ended up getting rid of a lot of things we've had for months so that's always good. I ran into Tiana and Aaron too which was weird. She told me the shelter is now no longer MSPCA affiliated and is now the Southeastern Animal Care something or other? Anyway, Kim and Joyce took it over and they're already looking for staff. I went up there today and dropped off some donations and asked Joyce. She told me they are hiring and that I should submit a resume to their website. I'm not stoked about it being just Kim and Joyce now but I'm pretty excited about being able to get a job at a place that I really liked working at. Plus I think they'll start me at like $12 an hour which will help out immensely.
Slowly but surely the shop is becoming legit but it's a really slow process and it gets frustrating. Tonight we're hoping to FINISH the goddamn tiling and get everything put away from the shows this weekend. I'm sweating my ass off in here..I really want to decorate with some fake plants and giant stuffed snakes and stuff, basically a jungle room. I want people to be able to see this shit from the road. We have two shows this weekend one in Manassass, VA and back up here in MA on Sunday. Pretty exciting!
So that's it for now. I'm seeing old friends lately and it's fucking awesome. I need to be more social and stop just spending all my time at the house and in my comfort zone. I need to branch out.
