Been a long time since I've last posted.

My guild scored a World 12th, US 4th Heroic Lich King kill about 2 months ago. We would've had it a week earlier and 2 positions up but people just couldn't keep focused for that long.

It's nice to finally have that boss down since we've just had the place on farm and we're down to raiding 4 hours a week. Nice having lots of free time to go do other things.

That fight though was easily the most difficult encounter I've ever had the pleasure of doing. It was also one of the most frustrating to deal with. There's some mixtures of RNG but the encounter lay completely on the personal performance of every single player in the raid. This encounter, while on progression, was so strict that it only took one person to wipe the entire raid. A missed/late tranq to remove the enrage, first plague not reaching the horrors, a poor defile placement (especially during valks), a single death in the frostmourne room, almost any single event could basically wipe the raid.

This was especially trying because the encounter was easily taking everyone the full 15 minutes til the enrage to even complete the encounter. Most guilds relying on going slightly over the enrage timer to get the kill in as he ping pongs about 1-shotting people before ultimately wiping the raid with harvest soul.

I don't really have a pretty picture to post or anything for it. Our videos and plenty of others' videos are up for the encounter, but they really wouldn't make sense to anyone watching until they understood the mechanics of the fight lol.

Best part is knowing I get to enjoy my entire summer until Cataclysm comes out. BTW, Cataclysm is pretty amazing so far. Friends and Family alpha is pretty fun though really buggy. The new zones are definitely prettier and the old world had some nice overhauls. The changes to Org are pretty interesting though it feels mighty empty with how limited the Friends and Family Alpha is.
