interesting weekend
the guys and i slowly woke up around noon on friday after the christmas party. there were lots of hangovers and lots of headaches. i'm glad i had neither. =D early, byrd, matt, & i went to town & country and ate lunch. it was good, 'cause i was starving. i drove matt back to thomas's and then i went home to shower & clean & unpack all my stuff from christmas. it took me a few hours and then i just chilled for a little while. after that party, i think i needed a little space. i definitely got smothered ;) it was awesome, but i wanted to have my own little bubble back for a little while at home. a house full of drunks can be stressful while playing the mommy for the night. about 10 minutes after i got home, my mom and i got into it about the nice phone bill i've managed to rack up with calls to & from korea... heh. oh well. i forked over a big ol' check and all is well.
i headed up to early & kennedy's place after that. matt and byrd and thomas were there too, and we had lots of fun playing video games 'til about midnight. i drove back home after that and stayed up 'til about 2:30 talking to shane. i love coming home and being able to talk to him for as long as i want. it's the greatest feeling in the world. the time difference ain't that bad... 'cause by the time i get home, he's done with PT, done with work usually, and just hangin' out in the barracks with the guys. i just can't wait 'til he comes home on leave. even if it is just for another 2 weeks, it'll be even better than the last 2 weeks he came home. then another 6 months will pass, and he'll be home again!
ry~ry and i had our day of fun yesterday. i woke up around noon and got showered and ready to go. i drove up to volvo where she works and brought her food. haha, i think i scared her when i walked in... she didn't exactly know i was coming. the guys that work there are always so nice... and they remembered me from the last time i went up there! that was a looong, long time ago. i went over to exodus and found a pair of 4g earrings. they're these spiky, purple, little shits and they're awesome. i met ry~ry at the mall after she got off work and we walked around for a while. i had $50 in gift cards for hot topic so i got a new guns n' roses shirt. this one i don't have to cut, i don't think. it feels awkward wearing a shirt that i haven't cut up yet. =x so now i have $30.75 to spend there, and i have no clue what to buy. i got a pair of cheap sunglasses since my cool mr. roboto glasses broke after the beach this summer, and my brown ones are bent. i think these will last. they're rockin'. ry~ry went and got her hair trimmed and i got my eyebrows waxed while i waited for her. i love doing that, 'cause it just saves me time with those god forsaken tweezers. i hate plucking. jesus.
i took ry~ry to her place and we dropped her car off and i drove us to carraba's. we ended up not going there because there was an hour-long wait. we walked to pizza hut instead =D it was great fun.
we went to the LJVM coliseum for the tabor vs north game. it was a good game. tabor lost, heh. i'm not a fan of tabor or north, 'cause i don't go to either, but i know people on both sides, so i probably would've been happy either way. i got to see sam, who i hadn't seen in god knows how long. i miss that guy. i saw a ton of people there that i could go forever without seeing again, but it's all good. it was pretty fun, although i've determined i hate basketball games. i got stuck in a huge crowd of tabor girls that i either didn't know or wasn't friends with, so the only person i talked to pretty much was ry~ry. i said hey to some other people, but that was as we were leaving. i didn't even stay for the west game... go figure. i don't care. that was the first highschool basketball game i've ever been to. it will probably be the only one, 'cause as far as i'm concerned, i won't be attending another one.
our plans to see LOTR with grainger got shot down. the internet said the movie was at 9:15 and then the ass at the door said the last showing was at 8:15. screw that. grainger went back home and ry~ry and i went to my house so she could get her christmas present, and then she left around 10 something.
i stayed up 'til 3 somethin' talkin' to shane again. it was great =) <3
and now, i'm sitting on my ass doing nothing. i've been awake since 12 and i have done nothing productive. it's wonderful. i love christmas break. i think grainger and i are going to try to see LOTR tonight at 7:15. it all depends on whether or not he can get off work before 6:30. if we do end up going, and anyone wants to join us, go for it.
