goth juice and king of the mods

One of my favourite jokes on the Mighty Boosh is the hairspray Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) wears; Goth Juice - made from the tears of Robert Smith.

Now, you can imagine my surprise when I learnt today that Lush, the fabulous handmade organic soap/cosmetic store, has, inspired by the Boosh, made “Goth Juice,” a moderate-hold gel, and “King of the Mods,” a soft-hold gel (for those of you who aren’t Boosh fans, in the first season Vince is King of the Mods and wears delicious mod clothing).

I really so believe I’m about to plotz. In the mall, something like five minutes away, is something Booshy. In fact, it is probably the only Boosh related item for sale in the entire country. And I want it. I need it. It will be my precious and everyday as I style my new Noel Fielding hair I will giggle insanely over the in-joke that nobody else will know. Now, all I have to do is scrounge up the $32 for the both of them... (Oh god, am poor. Must start making things to sell on ebay.)

In very fine print below the title, it does in fact say, "Made from the tears of Robert Smith."

Am not sure about this one. All I can make out is, "mumble mumble mumble."

(I must admit that it amuses me, as well as annoys me, that so many people in my city right now are wearing Goth Juice or King of the Mods and have no idea of the story behind it. I'm torn between informing them or keeping the brilliance that is the Boosh to myself. Probably the latter.)
