Valentine's Day with Noel, Russell and Mads

Almost a year to the day (in fact, only one day beforehand) I rediscovered Russell Brand and fell in love all over again. I first discovered him on Valentine's Day last year, as he was hosting the BRIT Awards. I swooned over him on my journal and was directed by a number of you lovely Brits on my friend's list to his shows. Alas, last year was not comedic for me in the least and I was disinterested in watching anything vaguely humorous.

It wasn't until yesterday, when I came across his name among other gorgeous Brits staring in the movie Penelope that I even thought of him again. It may be obvious, but I am oh so delighted that I did. And I don't think I could have chosen a better time to do so.

I began with the Big Fat Quiz Of The Year 2006 last night and 2007 today. I didn't bother watching any other years as they are sadly lacking any Goth Detectives. Somewhere in those two episodes my amusement shifted more towards Noel Fielding (I believe it was his smile that did it, that cheeky bastard), and less towards Russell Brand (perhaps later I'll revisit him once more, after I've run out of Noel videos on youtube). Thus began my addiction to Nevermind the Buzzcocks, the Mighty Boosh and the IT Crowd.

I don't think I'll ever be the same. I've begun to form abs from the amount of giggling I've been doing. My laugh lines are deepening. And it's all Noel Fielding's bloody fault (bless him).

All in all, today has been a rather delightful Valentine's Day. I've been too amused to notice my Singleton status and have been man hopping from Russell to Noel to Mads Mikkelsen for the past twelve hours. I must admit, there has been an inordinate amount of drool dribbled on the premises today (I'll go about cleaning tomorrow in between Boosh episodes).
