winter wonderland

The snow outside is amazing. It began to snow last night, coming down in waves as I took Callie for a walk in the cold. By the time I woke up this morning, the snow had piled up so much that we couldn’t even open the doors to get outside. The steps resemble a hill and I now have to go outside and shovel us out so I can let the dogs out. I say dogs as Isaac has recently joined us in Windsor, as well as Bowie, who - rather disgustingly - has worms, so he’s here so we can give him medication three times a day. Kaileen and Travis arrived just after one in the morning last night, and left by six this morning for New York, where they are off to see Neil Young play tonight.

To say I am jealous is a bit of an understatement. And Kaileen took every opportunity to gloat. Oh well, I guess I will have to live vicariously through her when she returns. Again. In the meantime (after I probably have a heart attack from shovelling) I will go off and work on Kay and Travis’ present, as I should be able to get a small fix of Neil Young from that.
