“Like Voomp,” says Kaitlin, hands gesturing wildly.

Love love love Tina. She left me a comment on my reading list saying she had a surprise for me and would drop it off this afternoon. Was gravely excited (oh, I hate surprises as much as I love them), my brain straining to think what in Davey’s name she was bringing over. Well, she showed up with seven books off my Books To Read list (OMD Trainspotting and Porno!) and six others she thought I’d like* (OMD the Young Ones books!).

Kiitos Tina! (use of Finnish shows the high degree of my thankfulness)

In other news, Muzzer has been in ultra depressed mode since last night. We were in the car driving home from Up North and we were bitching at each other, her how I wasn’t happy to see her, and me how maybe I would be if the second I saw her she wouldn’t yell at my Father or me about trivial things. She then told me there was a very simple solution, “Divorce!” and I told her to knock her socks off.

This was cruel of me, obviously, but it’s the bloody truth. It’s not like my parents have had much of a marriage anyways. It’s not just my Muzzer’s fault; it’s a joint combination of my Father being an ass to her too. Bla, I don’t even care anymore. Maybe a divorce would fix things. It would at least prevent me from murdering the both of them, or the Muzzer having a heart attack.

*Am gravely amused that she recommended Stone Angel to me as after months and months of looking for it we finally found it at a thrift store when Tina had a copy all along. The Stone Angel was Muzzer’s favourite book as a teenager and so I am reading it for school.

brilliance!, my family, books, bitchy
