Just got back from Wally World where Jesse and I picked up season ten of MASH for Father's Day. Our conversation as we left the store:
Jesse: You didn't get to see our manager. He looks like Marilyn Manson!
Moi: Why does he look like Marilyn Manson? (confused - it was v. random)
Jesse: Because he looks like Marilyn Manson.
Moi: (finally getting that he's probably gothic in style) Oh! That's fabulous!
Jesse: Yeah, he's fabulous.
Moi: *squeals* You know, I've never heard you use the word 'fabulous' before.
Going to Aunt Yvonne’s later to celebrate Father’s Day. They’re saying that despite the fact that Grandpa is dead, we’re still going to celebrate it, that it’s a reason to get together. I want to know why we don’t celebrate Mother’s Day instead, which we never do as an entire family. My family has a twisted sense of logic.
Anyways, I’m going to wear Grandpa’s black hat in memoriam. Grandma always seems extremely happy to see me wearing it. Perhaps it’s because of all her Grandchildren, I’m the only one that seems to want to wear his clothing and remember him. Well, I can’t say that really, as Jesse and Kaileen also do the same, but Kay lives in Lindsay, and Jesse always has to work.
ETA: Oh poo. AFI is in Detroit as I type this. Boo-urns.
