Where to start? Where to start.

01. The Muzzer and I went to Ojibway Park early Saturday morning for a presentation on plants native to Windsor, and Ojibway in particular. There was also a speaker from Ontario Nature who talked about what they’re planning for the future in concerns to the environment of Ontario, and Southern Ontario in particular. They're planning on making a “Greenway” across Southern Ontario, linking together parks, scenic landscapes, natural areas and communities. She also spoke of topics they're currently bringing up with the government and acts they are trying to get updated (such as the Endangered Species Act). It was nice to be updated on the environmental topics in Ontario, and to know that there are thousands of people out trying to bring about change.

We then proceeded to go on a hike, guided by Paul Pratt, who is Windsor’s naturalist. He is very well educated in the fauna and flora of the area, and would tell us what various things were. At one point he came across an asparagus plant, picked it up and began eating it. Someone commented that it was certainly organic. I laughed. I wasn't aware that asparagus grew wild. He then pointed out a full grown asparagus plant, which resembles dill, but has no scent and is taller.

There was a fabulous old man walking in front me of most of the time, and he'd abruptly stop, exclaiming, "Ohh! A (fill in the blank)!" I'd have to slam on the brakes, but it was well worth it, as the things he found were most interesting. At one point I commented, "How are you finding these things?" Truly, I was dumbfounded. We'd be walking by rather quickly, and he'd spot something minuscule on the ground, stop and then do a roundabout so he could see it again and point it out to me. And he had this marvellous accent which made me giggle in delight.

02. I am having a week long movie fest. Last night I (obviously, from the last entry) watched V For Vendetta. Today I watched Drop Dead Fred with Rik Mayall of the Young Ones. “Dishes. Relationships. Wind. This guy breaks everything.” Rik is awfully adorable in this. I feel like hugging him to death.

There are so many quotes that are alike Young Ones quotes that I can't help but think that he helped write the script. This in particular reminds me the most of Mr. Mayall:

“I am a loner, a crazy wide eyed loner on a doomed mission to Venus to battle with the 3 headed mega beast but on the way I caught cornflakes disease.” (the beginning part he said exactly like the beginning of Livin' Doll)

After I finish my homework (which could take forever) I’m going to watch Say Anything which I’ve always wanted to watch. I also have a number of movies on hold at the library, so I’ll be watching movies for the next week or so.

03. Oh so depressed. Kill Hannah, is in fact, playing at the 89X Birthday Bash. Pooooo. I want to see them.
