screamed at the make-believe, screamed at the sky

Urg. My hands are not used to holding up gigantic books for ten hours, but more attuned to repeated pushings of the down arrow. Must stop reading so much fanfiction.

Actually, maybe not. Reading fanfiction every day has taught me to speed read. Wanting to finish the chapter I’m reading before lunch break ends, or read just one more chapter before I fall asleep in front of the computer has greatly helped.

It took me about six hours or so to finish Rebel Angels. It was just gorgeous and so well written. I shan’t say anymore on the matter, though, as Kaitlin is yet to read it.

(can say that I wish there was more Kartik in it. My image of him is quite delicious, and I want more ‘steamy schoolgirl dreams of being ravished by virile gypsies’. Although Kartik is Indian, not a gypsy. And I’d rather it be reality, and not dreams. Perhaps in the next book - if there is one. Hopefully. On her livejournal, libba_bray, and she’s currently writing the next book. Yay! Kind of in love with her, actually. She’s the person I’ve always dreamed of being.)

I’ve become a genius at plot twists. I just know that what I think is going to happen is what’s going to happen. Now, why is it I cannot write any plot twists of my own? And why do my stories never end up having a plot, after I’ve plotted the shite out of it?

(insert profanity here)

Going to attempt another novel. Tomorrow, as my head wants to explode, and I currently have no plot, no characters, no location, and no time period. Just an urge to write. Oh dear.

Plot ideas? Anyone?
