i love the sun when it shines

My holiday was good. Very good indeed. I do love my family. And my extended family. A lot.

I'd list everything I received, but I am very blessed and got a shitload of stuff, so I'll just do some highlights. I got a wallet that makes me feel like a real lady and a mirror for above my dresser. I got a toaster oven and a rice cooker. A bunch of gift cards and money. Oh, and pig jax.

Back at work. The office closes early tomorrow for New Years.

These last few days have been bittersweet and weepy. Sometimes it's hard to leave a place that is so warm and comfortable and full of love to come back to a semi-empty apartment where my life is thrust into my consciousness full-force. Oh, and also there's been a lot of reflection about this past year, and sometimes that makes me cry. I've said it before, I'll say it again, 2006 was a very hard year. Good in a lot of ways, shitty in a lot of ways, just all around tough.

Tough and necessary.

I keep thinking things will slow down and get quieter, but they just seem to keep getting more and more crazy. C'est la vie.

New Year's Resolutions to come.

family, holidays, suck
