A week ago, tonight, I was coming home on I-84E.
I was in the far left lane, the guy who hit me was on my right. .and a tractor-trailer was on his right. The highway was curving to the right.. he drifted out of his lane, losing control of his car.. and slammed into the cab of the tractor-trailer. His car ricocheted off of the cab.. slamming into mine.. which sent me into the cement median.. first my front end.. then the back.. which spun me out.. tearing off the right front wheel and much of the axle.. leaving me in the middle of the interstate.. facing oncoming traffic. It's amazing that nothing was coming.. otherwise I would have been hit again.. This all occurred at about 70-75mph. I'm banged up. .but alive. I meet with a doctor at a Physical Therapy facility tomorrow about my back and shoulder. It could be said that..
Notice: The lack of a passenger side.
This was found about 200ft. away from the scene of the accident. Oh, and the muffler came off completely.
Airbags hurt. A lot. There's blood on it from it smacking me so hard, but that didn't show in the photo, I guess.
It's kind of funny that I was looking for my intake.. saw no air filter.. then saw that my strut mounts were caved in, and my strut bar was basically snapped.
It's pretty unreal to think that the Civic who hit me did more damage than the concrete I collided with.
When I went to pick up some things out of Max, I saw that everything from the trunk was in the back seat.
I don't think you'll read this, but. .Orlene, thank you for going with me. It meant a lot.
