So, I suppose my previous entry requires a little explanation.
Put simply, my student loan I applied for (in the amount of $10,000) got denied, because my parents have bad credit. Therefore, I have no way of covering the remaining tuition costs to go to RIT this fall. This forced me to look at alternatives.
And, lo and behold, UMF has a Computer Science program. Going there, in all honesty, works out best in almost every aspect. I'm only about an hour from home, I'm still majoring in something I enjoy, I'll be with my girlfriend (rather than 9 hours away), and I already have friends who go there. Oh, not to mention that the tuition is about 1/3 of RIT's (roughly $10,800 per year, whereas RIT is now $32,000). I may not have to take out a loan at all this time around.
The only downside is, I won't be able to get in until Spring quarter, which starts in January. So, from now until then, I'll be here in town, working like I have been all summer, saving up some more money.
