Ok, so during a commercial break of the newest episode of Lost, another one of those Hanso Foundation commercials came on. Of course, it's a planted commercial by ABC, displaying a link to a website, www.sublymonal.com. Further investigation lead me to thehansofoundation.org, the "official" corporate website of the company responsible for all the facilities on the island our little group is currently inhabiting. Snooping around this site reveals a LOT of hidden, creepy-ass things that allude to some clues into the truth behind the Hanso Foundation, and vicariously, the island. Anyone who watches this show, if you haven't already, I highly recommend visiting this page (though I'd go to www.sublymonal.com first, you'll find something you may need...).
Anyway, in my searching, I came across a map of the world. You can find this by going to the Active Projects link, then to Worldwide Wellness and Prevention Development Program. Next, in the upper righthand corner there's a description of the WWPDP, with other links underneath it. Click World Map. The red dots on the map can be clicked, giving some information about these third-world countries that the Hanso Foundation is currently aiding. However, with a little exploring, I found something... Interesting. If you hover you mouse pointer over the ocean, just south east of the US, your mouse arrow turns into a hand, meaning there's something to be clicked there... Yet there's nothing on the map but ocean... (search around, you'll find it). Clicking this brings up an information box, with nothing written in it.
My theory is that this mysterious point in the ocean is, in fact, where the island is located.
Damn you ABC for making this so goddamn addictive.
UPDATE: Holy crap! If you hover the mouse over the empty information box, a bunch of garbled text starts faintly glowing, and there are two series of numbers mixed in. WHAT DOES IT MEAN!?!
