So yesterday 9/21 my sister and I saw The Academy Is...at the Anaheim House of Blues. It was the most amazing experience ever. The Academy Is...put on an amazing show and it was pretty much the best night ever.
Okay so we ended up at the House Of Blues around 3:20. That in itself was a miracle. We were supposed to be there really late cause of my class but it was cut early. Serious. Miracle.
We bought food for 33 dollars so that we could get in first. The House Of Blues has this thing where if you buy their food you can get in first. And hey, it's TAI so it's worth it, yeah.
Not much happened in line, we met a few people, talked. We saw Jack the Camera Guy, whom my sister pretty much fangirled over. It was really funny, he caught her taking a picture of him, and kept noticing her the rest of the night. He had a fan. She seriously can't stop talking about him...
<--the snapped picture btw.
We waited for quite some time and they finally let us in. We immediately got straight to the front. I pushed my sister up against the baracade and stood behind her. We were RIGHT UP FRONT. So amazing.
Sherwood was really good. I hadn't heard any of their music before but I am going to be sure to look into getting their album. It was a really fun set of songs, I like their style.
The Rocket Summer was fantastic. I knew TRS's stuff a bit before this, but as with Sherwood, I intend to make my knowledge of The Rocket Summer a little bit better. I got covered in confetti, being right near the thing that shot it out. That was pretty cool. A lot of local people were big fans.
Armor for Sleep was excellent. I, to be honest was not feeling so good during this part, because of all the heat/waiting, but they had an excellent set as well.
All through the first three I was being pushed/shoved, so much. I was really protective of my sister, so she didn't get slammed around but I sure did. Ouuch.
The Academy Is...finally came out and it was a fantastic show. When they did LAX to O'Hare it finally hit me that we were there and I kinda lost it.
We were on the barrier right next to Mike. I have come to a new appreciation of how hot Mike really is. Especially in a Peter Pan hat.
The entire set was amazing. Neighbors was excellent. Black Mamba (my favorite TAI song by far) was done so well. I was so overemotional the whole time, screaming my head off and thrashing around and stuff. It was fantastic.
There was a lot of talking and on stage banter. At one point Michael Guy Chislett finally spoke up, something about there not being enough time for Mike to pee during 40 steps, and I just about died of happiness. That boy has such a lovely voice.
I am so in love with MGC. Beyond in love, really.
The entire set was just fantastic.
Now some cruddy media for you since all we had to record with our phones (cameras were seriously grabbed everywhere):

15 glorious seconds of 40 steps. It really means nothing, but this is how close we were, seriously >_<

I am just now catching onto the fact that Mike Carden is hot.

Seriously. Is it a wonder I made it through the night without dying of Beckettness?
I have the whole video of 40 steps but I can't upload it because my phone only allows 15 secs to be sent...>_< and I'm too tired/stupid for that Verizon/Youtube thing right now.
Almost impossible to see with these pics, but yeah...eek!
I adore this picture. For obvious reasons.
Mind you these pics suck cause I couldn't get a camera in. Had to use phone.
I love the way the light looks on this one.
These are my favorite. We were right by Mike and he looked so good with the Peter Pan hat! Awwww!
This one's like my fav cause we were so far from MGC but we got him here.
and my favorite picture of the night
