Today started out wonderfully... initially it was supposed to be the day I returned home to Kirkland, but wound up being one of the best nights spent in Coeur d'Alene/Spokane. I'll return home upon completion of my laptop's repairs... Anyway, It started out with the giant making me breakfast after an extended napping session - a breakfast that included a pancake w/ a chocolate hershey kiss heart on top... and more napping. Seriously, on some occasions, there is little better than a nap in good company.
Later that evening I had the opportunity to meet up with Kelin, one of my closest comrades, we traveled to Ella's Jazz Supper Club for dinner, wine and jazz piano... oh, plus a silent film projected on the adjacent wall outside... No Judgement, great conversation - confessions - After we finished catching up, we went to meet Nate @ Bourbon street bar - he was meeting w/ Chelsea (?) - whom he's playing an
acoustic show with soon.. Kelin and I decided to grab martinis (Appletini & Cosmopolitan) and mess around with my digital camera.
Later in the evening we were about to walk over to the Twilight room -my favorite place - but it looked closed - it was then that we ran into one of the owners, Ramsin, who offered to host us for a few to share a discontinued make of plum sake and some good conversation. Our own little VIP night of sorts. It was a brilliant evening, and one of the highlights of my trip.. here are some of the photos..
