Ok, I'm officially moved out now. I took a moment just before I left today, staring at my empty apartment, trying to remember how it looked when filled with my belongings. Funny how quickly that faded. I despised living there; the outdated cabinets, flooring, marks & dings as constant reminders of prior tenants, noisy kids trying to party... I never appreciated what was my first apartment, I certainly wouldn't move back, but I now realize it was really my first sanctuary, my first home. The first place where I could be and do as I wished, never really walking on eggshells, free to do whatever my little heart desired. I will miss it. I forgot to photograph my bedroom. I like having pictures of my past bedrooms. All the same, you can see enough in the backgrounds of other photos. Funny how that works - not appreciating it for what it was until I've left it. Anyway, Now its on to getting ready for Seattle tomorrow :D
