American Idol, manga, and me update
American Idol results: The Davids are out first. Big surprise, they're both safe. Gee, never saw that coming. Hurray! Off to the couches boys. *must not think naughty thoughts* I'm begging cadetmhughes will download David Cook's performance of "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera" because I am dying to hear that. I will ply her with Starbucks. *muahhahahaaa* Then Brooke and Syesha. Man it sooo looked like Ryan was setting Brooke up for the bottom 2. *wibbles* She was totally shocked when it turned out to be Syesha. I'm so glad. I love Brooke. She's in my top 3 with the Davids. Carly can be 4th. Leona Lewis performs. I luff that song, but I could not stand to look at her while she performed. *fails* Something about her I just don't like. Oh well. You'll have that. Next out is Jason and Carly. Even tho everybody seemed to think Jason was worst of the night (including Andrew Lloyd Weber - ouch!) Carly is in the bottom 2 with Syesha. I did miss last night's performance show (because I have dinner at my sister's on Tuesday *fails* and her hubby thinks playing wrestling on his PS3 is a great way to spend.. oh... 5 HOURS and I was falling asleep on their couch out of sheer effing massive boredom *fails*) but they have Syesha (ack) and Carly perform their songs again, because they were the bottom two and AI is freakin' sadistic, and I liked Carly doing "Superstar" much better than whatever Syesha was screeching. Carly goes home. Dammit. Okay, so I didn't really like her in the beginning, but over the last couple weeks she's been more herself and less... erm.. performy (?). Less like she's putting on a persona and more like herself.. and I've really liked the way she sounded. I'm so OVER ready for Syesha to be gone. Srsly. I finally got rid of damn Kristy Lee last week and I was so hoping to make it a double shot.. *pout* If someone else had to go, I think it shoulda been Jason. He's really hit or miss lately. I adored him in the beginning, but he's only had maybe 3 really good performances, and the rest have been boring and totally forgettable. *fails* Well, at least "losing" doesn't mean no future. Think Bucky Covington, Josh Gracin, Elliott Yamin.. and, by the way, Chris Daughtry came in 6th too. I'll look forward to the album debut. Just try to keep up the good Carly and not the fake Carly.
Okay, so I got thru the 1st volume of Gakuen Alice. It's really neat. I think I like it. I'll be getting the next one. Read the first 2 volumes of Bleach. Winz. There's some stuff I don't remember being in the anime. Plus reading the manga and watching the anime if good for me because my memory is for shit. I'm gonna be like crazy old lady dressed funny on a park bench by like 45. *fails*
As for the Me Updates: cadetmhughes has found another My Chem concert we're trying to get tickets to in Columbus, Ohio on May 4th. And since we're gonna be in the neighborhood, Meg, we were wondering if you're busy on the 5th?? Yeah, short notice... fails. Let us know if you can fit us into your schedule. We're so looking forward to hanging out. Cabbages ftw!
