Rockin' out with our Otaku out

Apr 20, 2008 02:54

Okay.. sooo.. the concert turned out to be a no-go. We drove out to where the concert was sposeta be, but we just got some really (REALLY) bad vibes from the whole area, so we drove right back home. Not going to the concert sucks, but I feel better knowing we listened to out instincts and nothing bad happened.

So we went back to their apartment and watched anime all night long. (winz!~) And we are like the geekiest of the geek. No, srsly. Do you know what we watched all night? LOL. Genshiken. If you don't know what Genshiken is, it's an anime about an anime club. No. Srsly. *gigglesnort* We're really that geeked. And we love it. It's crazyness. So we spent all night watching an anime about doodz watching anime. lolz. But we had a really great time. Their favorite anime to watch in Genshiken is called Kujibiki Unbalance. And on the disc there is actually an episode of it, so we thought maybe they had actually made it. I got totally hooked on the fake anime and we looked it up on wikipedia and there are only 3 OVA eps of it. It does not exist. I totally threw a fit. No, srsly. I threw an effing fit!  I demanded we go out for Starbucks because I was totally peeved and like distraught and I don't think I spelled that right and Starbucks will make it all betters. So we're heading for Starbucks and I get a craving for a Blizzard. (Shut up I am telling this story!) Then
cadetmhughes says something about Cold Stone and it was just effing over then. Have you had Cold Stone? If you love ice cream, you must have Cold Stone. They have like a dozen flavors of ice cream and literally anything you could possibly want to put in it (fudge, gummi worms, m&ms, anything!). I had Cotton Candy and Cake Batter (which really tastes like cake batter) ice creams with fudge, cookie dough and coconut in it. Then they mix it all together on a big stone slab right in front of you and then slap it in a dish. It's marvelous. best. ice. cream. EVR. So we took our Cold Stone and our Starbucks back to the apartment and it was crazy like "I cannot believe we are having these both at the same time" extravagance. TOTALLY WINZ. And then we died from it.

Oh, and we watched The Wallflower, which is totallly just ridikulous do not try to eat while you are watching this because you will choke and die hilarious. Really. I mean it.

At some point in there we also went to the movies to see "Forbidden Kingdom" with Jackie Chan and Jet Li in it. It was cool, but not as awesomeness as all the hype they are making about it.

That was Thursday and Friday.

And on Saturday we went to Borders (because we are book store junkies) and I bought my first batch of manga. I know. I am like the last person. Shut up. I bought Bleach 1 & 2, Death Note 1 and Gakuen Alice 1. (It's neat. I heard about it from the TokyoPop newsletter.) On the way home we bought more Starbucks (total effing junkies) and had awesome taco salads made by
talalkhemiyst (who is made of major kitchen winz) and we watched Black Cat, which I know love.

Then I had to go home (fails) and deal with my stoopid angsty mother (fails) who bitched at me for not coming home for "Family Night Dinner" since I didn't go to the concert. Then she pointed out that my godfather had finally moved in with his stoopid gf and she was going to promptly be all over my ass about moving myself. (fails)  Then I has to go to work. (ack. fails) And I haven't checked my emails all week because I couldn't get on the compy, so my inbox has like a zillion emails in it. *dies and is ded*

life, anime
