OKAY SO.. been watching so much Xfactor lately (when the half-dead tv allows). Watching thru UK, Australia & the US versions. lol junkie, yes.
They've just gotten to judges houses on the UK & here's what I'm thinking right now after watching their performances at judges' houses last night.
Groups:
1. Nu Vibe (1Direction 2.0 - love them!)
2. The Keys (such beautifull harmonies)
3. The Risk (love their singing but plz stop interviewing Marlon bc he's a douchecanoe & I can't stand him. just shuddup & sing pretty for me lol.)
4. Rhythmix (they've got some def potential & I don't usually even like the girl groups)
I do love 2 Shoes.. but if I'm going with who I really like vocally, they're not quite as good as some of the others.. they're a lot of fun, but they're not really that interesting to listen to. They're are slightly more musically exciting possibilities for me in the other groups.
Girls:
1. Janet Devlin (plz i could listen to this little fairy thing sing everything forever not even kidding. her voice is mesmerizing.)
2. Amelia Lilly (was really surprised by how much I like her. i hated her audition. i thought she was just loud and screamy but this time was great.)
3. Misha Bryan (I love her style, like she's permanently ready for the VMAs. Love her swagger. There's just something I really like about her.. as long as she doesn't start going diva-y in the singing on live shows.)
4. Jade Richards (There's just something about her aching vulnerability when she sings. It's really beautifull. Her voice has so much pain.. but she also needs to be careful not to go all vocal gymnastics diva in the live shows.)
The Overs:
1. Terry Winstanley (prolly my 2nd fave in the whole competition tbh. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. I honestly couldn't buy the albums from him fast enuf.)
2. Samantha Brookes (She's great. Just a flawless epic voice but without all the vocal gymnastics that I hate.)
3. Jonjo Kerr (He's just got this voice that makes my heart break for him every time he sings. I love those types. He's not necessarily exciting, but I really love his tone.)
4. Johnny Robinson (just. too. adorable. he's the cutest, really. He just makes me smile every time he's on.. And I do love his voice. I bet he made a great drag queen when he was younger - bc don't tell me he's not using his drag voice when he sings!)
I also really like Joseph.. but for me it's kind of him or Jonjo bc they're really similar & I have to go with Jonjo.
Boys:
1. FRANKIE COCOZZA (so. much. love. Honestly he's my fave for the whole thing. I think he's just fantastik. Love his tone. Love his swagger. I was really surprised tho when he was talking to Olly & Caroline on the Xtra Factor how he said he didn't know if he did enuf to make it thru bc the other boys are just crazy talented. I didn't expect that little vulnerable part of him.. makes me love him more tbh.)
2. Craig Colton (I really liked him from his 1st audition. He's just got such a great voice.)
3. John Wilding (I remembered him from last year & I'm so so glad that he came back. He's wonderfull. He kinda reminds me of a mix of Kurt Hummel/Adam Lambert, which is fab I think!)
4. Marcus Collins or Max Vickers (I'm leaning a little more toward Marcus, only bc he seems more ready to perform & Max still seems a bit nervous.)
I'm so sad that Luke didn't do very well but he's still a baby. His 1st audition was great, but his age is really showing now. I want him to work on it, practice & come back next year.
So those are my hopefull lists. I don't think I'm too far off really, so I'm really hopefull that I'll get most of the ppl that I really love. The only category I'm really worried about is the Overs bc Louis really loves to court VFTW with his crays. I'm so afraid that he's gonna take Goldie or Kitty or (god help me) both of them just for the OMGWHATWILLSHEDONOWLOLZ and sacrifice some brilliant singers for ratings. I will survive, tho, as long as he takes Terry & hopefully Sam. They're my faves in the Overs.
---------------
As for the Xfactor US.. I'm a little non-plussed by most of what I've seen. The best way to put it is that most of the ppl they've featured and put through don't exactly sing the kind of musik that I listen to a lot of & they massive over-sing most of it unfortunately. I haven't like many ppl so far really. There was the rapper guy who just got out of rehab. I really liked him, but I can't remember his name right now. From the last 2 shows we watched last night I LOVED Nicky Voss & Josh Krajcik (besties literally said Josh would be the perfect bf for me lol - they're totally right tho.. I am prepared to hopelessly crush on him, so I hope he does well XD). Josh is just so warm & cute.. and he looks like a big cuddly bear.. and that smile! So much yes! I also really liked Makenna & Brock - and they're such a cute story. Wouldn't it be the sweetest if working together on Xfactor brought them together.. *chinhands* Oh I also liked Skyelor - doing the country song. And I really kinda liked JMark. He's an odd bird, but I liked him & he actually a good singer if you listen. And 4Shore was also good. They had great harmonies.. So pretty much everybody I liked was from Chicago/Seattle lol. Idk how this is going to go. They've aparently only got one audition cycle left.. so who knows. There may not be much to watch the season for unless they're hiding some somewhere & they're gonna krisallen us later...
I'm also curious bc I was really excited.. they were just heavy rumours but I heard that Nate Marshall, Danny Noriega, Jason Yeager & some others that I loved from past AI seasons were in here somewhere. Now I realise they cut the audition shows in half the normal number so that doesn't leave much space.. so I'm still hopefull.
