Sooooo... American Idol.
I absolutely loved Scotty. These guys just get better and better. He's such a natural. He makes me think of when I first started listening too country musik who was popular - Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Aaron Tippin, Travis Tritt. He's just got that authentic country boy I own a pickup truck and a farm and I'm a total gentleman etc etc kinda feel to him. LOVE.
Paul I thought was really cute & fun. It wasn't anything really standout & special. But I love the coffeehouse folk kinda thing so it was right up my alley.
Casey I have loved from day one but he needs to stop with this thing he's gotten into of using the growl wayyy too much. I was so sad when he was bottom 3 and then he was actually up for elimination! I couldn't believe it when the judges saved him. Didn't even let him finish his song. They were just like OH HELL TO THE NO and that was that. Plus, Top 11 on tour. Wow. Obv the producers must really have some srs hope for Casey. Idk what's gonna happen now tho bc we have to lose 2 next week bc of using the save.. I will accept any combo of Noxcema, Haley, Sunshine & fake Archie for the bottom 3. Kthx.
Pia, as expected, was flawless and gorgeous. I love her voice. I honestly listen to her and think 'why are there even other girls in this competition" bc if a girl's gonna win this year it's her. I know they were pimping Lauren at the beginning of the season but I'm pretty sure her fake-cutesie, overly annoyingly forced friendlyness is turning on her. I can't help but notice tho that Lauren & Pia seem like Mavid close. Like.. when they show them sitting next to each other on the couch Lauren is practically in her lap. And they're constantly holding hands in what looks like a more than friendly way to me.
Jacob is starting to make me love him. He really sounded beautifull when the fucking chorus wasn't drowning him out. I'm excited to see what he can do if they can keep working with him to get his singing down out of the church choir.
Davebert makes me love him again and again. The more I hear of what is really his sound and see his real stage presence, dorky tho that may be sometimes, I just wanna see him do more. I'm still shocked at how my feelings about him have changed, but you have to be open to that kind of opinions changing or you might miss something really great.
I'm a little worried that I like 6 of the top 11 at this point. The odds of keeping them all is not good, so I need to work on narrowing down my real faves. We'll see how I do lol.
