I just stumbled across a fantastik YouTube Channel. The "It Gets Better" Project. It was inspired by a story of another teen killing themself bc they couldn't handle being bullied in school and ignored at home anymore bc of their sexuality. The videos are from GLBTQ adults to teens being bullied telling/showing them that there is a better life if you can survive high school. There is love, jobs, families, a future. I think it's absolutely wonderfull.
This is the video of the creator, Dan Savage, and his husband:

I wish there had been something like this when I was in high school or even middle school. I didn't grow up in a house where sexuality was talked about, even the straight kind. Gay people were referred to as being "funny". I had feelings and thoughts all through middle school & high school that I really didn't understand. I had crushes in some cases as far back as elementary school when I really think about it. But I never had a clue how to explain those feelings and thoughts, what they meant. I was bullied and picked on all through school, not for being bi bc no one (including me) ever had a clue about that, but I was still harassed constantly about being different, dressing weird, not having enuf money, etc. I wish there had been someone encouraging me like this that there was a better life waiting & maybe helping me to understand a little better what I was feeling...
Thank God it exists now & I hope people will spread the word about it wherever they can and share it with anyone they feel might need to hear it.
