OMGF ADAM LAMBERT IS AMAZING IN CONCERT!!!!!
seriously tho. just.. unbelievable.
We got to do a lil shopping before the show, which yielded some cool books but nothing spectacular, sadly. We did get to hang out with some of our frenz from the Cassidy show before the concert, like Laynie (who is such a sweetheart) and Jen and Doug. We missed Amanda, unfortunately, but she found us inside before the show started so yay.
On the way in this chick totally stops Nevi & goes 'can i take your picture'. How fucking cool is that?! Bitch is a rockstar okay, she was looking awesome. So I will have to look for her on twitter. She said she would be uploading them to FB. :DD
Allison was up first (no Orianthi, thankyuuu God) and she really blew me away. Also, ridic tiny wtf. She's a hot little thing (is she legal yet lol). Really tho it's amazing what the last 2 years have done for that girl. She's a hard-ass rock chick and she can belt shit out like woah. She was wringing herself out on every song, strutting around the stage. Fabulous. And OH GOD her voice on 'Scars'. She made that one of my new fave songs with her performance. I was srsly crying. Just beautifull. And "Don't Waste the Pretty" is great. I need to listen to her album more. Immediately. She really converted me to a major fan that night.
okay, now I know this is gonna be kinda hard to believe but ask anybody who was there and it's not a lie!!
IN THE INTERMISSION A DANCE PARTY BROKE OUT. LEGIT. IT FUCKING HAPPENED.
and and we (me & the besties) were actually part of the start. We were chair-dancing like yeah and I look up and there's a chick 2 rows in front of me standing up kinda dancing. We make eye contact & she's like "don't sit down and dance stand up!" and I'm like HELLZ YEAH so I stand up & start dancing for real & the girls stand up with me & the next thing you know it's moving like a wave back across our row & across the whole crowd. It was the coolest thing! And it went on for like 5 or 6 songs I think. It was a blast! (This was my only show but according to Laynie - who's been to a few - this is the only time this ever happened! How cool is that?!)
OH AND. Vevo was there to tape the performance & the crowd & all so that's supposed to be up like next month I think. How awesome, right??
THEN LAMBCHOP COMES ON AND IT IS FUCKING ON LIKE YEAH. Absolutely flawless vocal on every single song. The costume changes & the dancers and the strut. He's out-standing! I loved him before but the level of love had grown exponentially after this concert. And not just for adam but for Tommy, Monte, the dancers. (didn't really get much of Longeniue but i figure that's bc he's leaving the band soon.. idk) I was really impressed with the whole performance tho, everybody was so fucking on and you could tell how much they all loved what they're doing. But Adam's voice. Incredible. The notes he hits.. and his smile. and his energy. And there was all this lil banter between songs about how the whole show and all the songs are about love. Just.. like inspirational. I loved him so much.
This show absolutely ranks in like the top 3 best concerts ever along with MCR's Black Parade (bc FUCK. YEAH. MCR.) and Keane (unfortunately NOT in the woods). Yes, Dave is my 1st love and he is goddamned awesome do not fucking mistake me but the level of epic that Adam brings to every second of his performance I have yet to get from Dave. So bring it Dave. Come at me.
He totally was looking right at us during "Soaked" at one point. He may have even been pointing at us. And And oh god did he have tears rolling down my face with his acoustic "Aftermath". That was prolly my fave on the album already but god the way he sang it Tuesday was just.. heartwrenching. I needed so badly to hear it that way that it felt like it was almost for my. My moment. I'm claiming that as my moment anyway.
