Well, life has been a whirlwind lately...after losing my steady job, had an old friend from high school come crash with me and bring her car, temped around Lewisville and Swisher Road for a bit, and eventually found a very promising opportunity...
...as a salesman for Grand Prairie Ford. So, I guess I oughta put it out there, if any of my peeps need a hookup on a new or used Focus or anything, gimme a call.
Anyway, the factor of gas in driving between Denton and GP everyday weighed heavily on Erin and I. Then, Angie calls up today, and out the window goes my plan for cheap rent when she informs me that there are no more 3-bedroom townhouses available where we planned to live...sooo, in 3 days, we'll be homeless.
Due to being behind on bills and all manner of things, there's NO WAY I could turn the lights on at a new place. Unless...
Today, we secured for ourselves a 2-bedroom extended stay hotel in Grand Prairie. Aside from the car, and our respective phones, and one steep rent charge, bills cease will cease to be an issue, simplifying things.
And the job....as far as income goes, the sky is the limit, but I'm being realistic. It's very possible that I can pay off, or make good headway into, the debt I owe UNT. I'll also be looking to get a car at an employee discount. I was thinking if I could find a used hybrid...hmmm...
I WILL return to Denton. I've already made arrangements for this. And when I return, I'll most likely be able to get my old job back at EDSCO, since I've heard they want me back. Since I have sales experience, and an office background, maybe I could cease with the grungy side of the job and work in the office...just maybe.
Friends, I'll be back on Sundays and probably Salsa or 80's nights at Hailey's, so it won't be a COMPLETE exile. See you soon, wish me luck, and again, if you know anyone in the market for a car...
