Dancin' thangs
On Wednesday, I swing danced with my friend Dan on roller blades. It was one of the AMAZING-EST experiences EVER. Swing outs and lindy circles felt soooo fluid and crazy; if Dan tried to take a step it felt silly and clunky...so he didn't, haha. Dance with someone leading on roller blades. Seriously, it will change your life.
This past weekend was Wicked Lindy (http://www.wickedlindy.com), which was super fun! I traveled/stayed in a room with Liz, Karl, and Ken (Triin came in our car, too). And on Saturday everyone went to the WATER PARK, yeah! Lots of good people and good times and great dances. Watching the invitational Jack and Jill Saturday night was sweet, too, especially when Mose and Kasey came and visited me (whoa!).
Sunday was by far the best day of the weekend. The workshops I took were all awesome - a fun Charleston class with Peter and Ramona, an inter-dance-iplinary (?? I made that up....) class with Andy and Nina, a musicality class with Mikey and Laura, and THE SEXY TIME (hahahaha) with Peter and Ramona. I had many a sweet dance after the workshops, too.
Ahh. I could never get tired of this.
In other news, I only have about a week left at my job before going back to school. I'm going to miss a couple of the people I work with, and I'll especially miss Dollar Tree Radio (sigh...).
