Lindsay is having the best week ever.
Assuming my week starts on Friday...
Anywho. I went down to GR for the job interview for the internship at John Ball Zoo, and I got it! It wasn't even an interview, I had the job before I walked in the door. Full time, too. Basically, I'll have chores that all of the other seasonal people have too, but once those are done, and regular employees are just walking around sweeping and such, I'll be doing FM stuff. I'll take care of work orders, help with some projects, and sit in on meetings. The projects seem pretty exciting too. They're building a new lion exhibit, and try to work on converting animal waste into methane gas, which they'll burn for energy, and also, a water conservation thing. He took me for a tour around the zoo, and I got to see behind the scenes in the aquarium. In one room, they had all the little birds that are normally kept in a place that you walk through and feed them and such, because they can't stay there in the winter. They also had a bunch of baby penguins! Pretty much, they're grown to the right side, but still have the fluffy feathers, so if they try to swim with the grown ups, they'll sink. They had a little pond with a ramp so they could get out if they sink. They were all begging for food, it was cute. There were a ton of Zippidy birds too.
After the interview, I stopped in Muskegon a bit to see my family, and share the good news. Then, Jake and I went looking for a Nintendo Wii, and sure enough, we found one. I bought it, and Jake bought me three games: Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess, Red Steel, and Happy Feet. It came with Wii Sports, which is the funnest two player game for it, so far.
The weekend was nice. My parents came up to visist Saturday, and brought me a recliner.
No idea what I'm doing tonight, but I'm looking forward to spring break, and seeing The Hard Lesson's Friday night. :)
