2007 in a Nutshell.
JANUARY
1. Who kissed you on new years?
My first and only ex-boyfriend.
2. Did you have a new year's resolution this year?
I don't think so.
3. Does it snow where you live?
it usually snows long before January, although I distinctly remember a few brown Christmases.
4. Do you like hot chocolate?
Yes
5. Have you ever been to Times Square to watch the ball drop?
Fuck no. I wish.
FEBRUARY
1. Who was your Valentine?
V-Day is a joke, and I ridicule / laugh hysterically at those who celebrate it.
2. When you were little, did you buy valentines for your whole class?
Who didn't?
3. Do you care if the groundhog sees its shadow or not?
Not first on the list of my worries, kthx.
MARCH
1. Are you Irish?
No, but I'm a huge fan of Artemis Fowl. Hurrah for twelve-year-olds in Armani suits.
2. Do you wear green on St. Patty's Day?.
No, I wore my work uniform.
3. What did you do for St. Patty's Day in 2007?
Can't remember, so it must have been unimportant. Probably nothing.
4. Are you happy when winter is pretty much over?
Yes actually. I love the change in seasons, and I feel the same way when the sweltering heat of summer finally cools down as well.
APRIL
1. Do you like the rain?
Love it.
2. Did you play an april fools joke on someone this year?
Haha. Well, Steve and I tricked Dion into unloading the truck by himself. He was pretty mad afterwards.
3. Do you get tons of candy on Easter?
I usually get a fair bit from family, but I'm sure I still have some of it.
4. Do you celebrate 4/20?
4/20 is not a holiday. It's a made-up excuse for a bunch of stoners to skip school / pretend that their way of life means anything.
5. Do you love the month of April?
Depends. Sometimes I have a good month, others I don't.
MAY
1. What is your favorite flower?
Tiger Lilies.
2. What's significant about this month?
My brother's birthday is in May.
3. Do you like the spring?
Yes. Finally shedding my winter jacket always feels good.
4. Finish the phrase "April showers":
bring cliched fucking statements.
5. What is the first color you think of when you think of Spring?
Green. This time of year, the trees all have their own distinctive colours, and I love when you get a lot of them together and each tree is a subtly different shade.
JUNE
1. What year did/will you graduate from high school?
2003
2. Did you do anything fun during this month?
Hmm. I don't think so.
JULY
1. What did you do Canada Day?
Took my brother to the waterslides.
2. Did you go on any vacations during this month?
Yeah, spent most of my time at the beach. It was nice.
3. Do you blast the A/C all day?
Pfft. Albertans don't have AC, except in cars and public buildings. It's too much trouble for the two weeks out of the year we would actually use it.
AUGUST
1. Did you do anything special at the end of your summer?
Not really.
2. What was your favorite summer memory of '07?
Running into Carrie and Michelle at The Vat. Good times.
I would like to have gone on a road trip or something though.
3. Did you have a sunburn?
YES. Most of me was fine, but my back always burns no matter how I try to protect it.
4. Did you go to the beach a lot?
Yeah, mostly during July. (Haha, I originally wrote January here and didn't even notice until it was posted.)
SEPTEMBER
1. Did you attend school/college in '07?
Nope.
2. Who is your favorite teacher?
In high school, either Sharon Holoboff or Pete Moir. He was the kind of teacher that would give you extra credit for making him laugh on an assignment.
3. Do you like fall better than summer?
Yeah, by the time fall comes around I'm sick of the summer heat.
OCTOBER
1. What was your favorite Halloween costume?
In 6th grade I was the King of Thieves, from Aladdin. Made my own costume. It was pretty rad.
2. What is your favorite candy?
Reese bites (the little round ones, YUM) but I also like Fuzzy Peaches and Swedish Berries.
3. What did you dress up as this year?
Didn't. I saw Ratatouille with my grandmother.
NOVEMBER
1. Whose house do you go to for Thanksgiving?
My grandma's, but it's usually in October, as I live in Canada.
2. Do you love stuffing?
Who doesn't? Oh yeah, anyone who has no taste in good food.
3. What are you thankful for?
The miracles of modern medicine, for saving a particular life and allowing me to experience the kind of love I never thought I would.
DECEMBER
1. What is December 1st, 2007?
The day I realize how far behind I am in my Christmas shopping.
2. Have you ever been kissed under mistletoe?
Sure haven't.
3. Get anything special last year?
Not really.
4. What do you want this year?
Many things. Most of them seem unattainable.
