Whoohoo today was neat!
at least my morning. my morning was fantastic!
it all started with an early morning wake up at 4:33. it's almost freakish how exuberant i am in the morning. "Hey! want some cereal?!" [lets play "guess that character!"]
a couple hours later my parents were dropped off at the airport & i had time to kill.
2 hours in fact. two hours until Don's Photo opened up. so i decided i'd get onto Portage and stop at the nearest Tim Hortons. it didn't take me too long to find one.
I got settled in my nice little corner by the window with my cup of medium hot chocolate knowing without a shadow of a doubt this rim was going to win me something!
stuck headphones on my head, set the ipod to Scandenavian music so the lyrics wouldn't interfere with my head and started to read.
read. read. read.
The Saint, by Ted DekKer. i started it this morning. it was enthralling! 50 pages in and i am HOOKED.
boy, when you sit in a coffee shop for 2 hours you sure see alot of people coming and going. and you also get fun thoughts like,
"gee whiz!! III should own and operate one of these things!" haha.
people also like to stare. i love playing the staring game. i usually win. you know, stare right back at them until you make them feel uncomfortable and they look away. but today i met my match. Mr. Eyes wouldn't stop staring at me with his piercing brown..or were they green - eyes. i had to look away for fear i might burst out laughing. i don't know why - that's just the feeling i get when i stare at people.
well, 2 hours came and went at an incredable speed-  i was sad it was gone - but on to Don's i went to see what i might be able to spend my money on!
unfortunately, i wasn't willing to lay down $600 on a flash unit so i went to Long and McQuade and bought $4.25 BANJO strings!
YES!
Banjo!
new near-future goal. [aside from wanting to make an offer on a house/yard soon]
learn the banjo! i figured since my grandfather was gracious enough to give it to me through his death, i may as well learn how to play it! and it's so versatile! especially in indie music. ha! and i've always loved the sound.
so we'll see how this works out. only 4 strings - what could go wrong?

that's basically the most exciting parts of my days.
oh, and I love text messaging!
it makes me giddy.
okay the end bye!

PS: and no, i DID NOT win at Tims... yet! i'll admit though i HAVE been sucked in! oh it's a good thing i don't gamble. cause i'm buying medium hot chocolates like a Banshee in hopes of winning! but it's more then just hoping.. it's an investment! 10 dollars in hot chocolate is worth it if you're winning a car! besides, it's yummy!
