(no subject)
I've spent all day working on the B&B website. It's still not totally done, but it's getting there.
Tomorrow I go back to work for the first time in...well, a while. Long enough that my sleep schedule is messed up and I'm really dreading going. Blah. But you gotta do what you gotta do, right? It's been a little slow at the bookstore, but I'm thinking that has more to do with all the after-Christmas slow down than anything else. I'm planning a pretty productive day, taking down all the Christmas stuff, putting out new books, packing away old stuff that needs to be donated somewhere. New Year, fresh start.
I bought the domain name www.passagebookstore.com (passagebooks.com was taken, boo) and I'm hoping to get a website up there within the next week or so. I'm also planning a book blog...probably not hosted on LJ though. I was thinking maybe Blogger? I dunno, anyone have any recommendations?
We're also starting a Children's Story Time at the store. We have this great lady who also speaks spanish, and she reads the books once in english and then once in spanish. It's really kind of neat. We had her come in once just before Christmas to read "Olive the Other Reindeer" and "Night Before Christmas" and it was really nice, the kids seemed to enjoy it. One of the ladies that owns the store next to ours had a grandkid that was there and she said he couldn't stop talking about it, so I think that's pretty good praise. We gave them little goodie bags with small party favor type toys, chocolates, candy canes and they made little Christmas finger puppets. Too cute.
But I should definitely go take a shower now. I know it's going to take me forever to fall asleep tonight, and I don't even want to think about waking up tomorrow morning. Blah.
