As I stood by the hospital beside
I could only stand there and stare
Warm tears would slide down my cheeks
dripping down on the floor
The only sound coming from me
the sniffles and hics that escaped my lips
I kept wishing
she's open her eyes and look at us all
Smile at us once again

As I stare at her lying there
People murmuring and crying as well
I didn't listen
I could only stare

Tears continue to trail down my cheeks
as I weep for her
If only I had paid more attention
visit her as often as I could

Biting my lip to keep from crying out loud
I stare at her completely still
