Are they embedded videos in general, or only embedded videos from a certain website, like youtube? If it's just youtube, you might need to update your flash player or something, but I don't know about other videos... :\
I wish I could help you more! I googled your problem, and it seems it happens to a lot of people. Their suggestion is to uninstall adobe flash and reinstall it. :\
Oh, I hope it works for you soon. If not, at least it works in IE, right?
And no, Fall Out Boy isn't here anymore, thankfully. I think the overload of Gackt on my computer scared them away. Haha!
