This shit with Austin having to move out really sucks. He move in while in dire straits (great band) with his old place and how he was going to be able to pay for it after being there for a relatively long time. We weren't sure how it was going to work, but it ended up working out really well. He and I became really close friends again after kind of a long time of not seeing that much of each other. He and Heidi became better friends than they had ever been in the past and got along really well. The animals loved having him around, especially his so-called "brother in stench," Ghost and his late-night feline friend Nickolas. It was generally just fun having him around the house or to come along to bowling and stuff like that, and, let's face it, his money going towards the rent and bills didn't hurt either. He didn't live here for a very long time, but it feels like the end of an era anyway. We're going to miss having him around a lot. He has been forced to move out because he was laid off soon after her moved in. Initially, this didn't look like it would be a big problem, because he was qualified for unemployment and could easily look for another job with lots of good work experience. Unfortunately, the economy has gotten really bad and he hasn't found another job. On top of that, unemployment has done nothing but make his life a living hell. They have rejected and canceled his unemployment checks over and over again without any good reason and refuse to even answer their phones or call him back with an explanation when he leaves messages. It is incredibly irresponsible of the agency, and if this had happened to someone with a little less luck that didn't have family and friends willing to take him in, he would be out on the street homeless. It's actually kind of scary to think about. Also, with him gone, and Liquidators refusing to give Heidi enough hours at work to pay her bills we are also going to have to move out. We are broke. We have wanted to move out for a long time, but now we are going to be rushed into moving into the first place that will take us that we can afford, which is looking like a place in South Buffalo off of Smith st. I know we won't be as close to the center of everything in Buffalo any more if we move there, but hopefully people will still come and visit us. At least it looks like a less crime ridden neighborhood. It's been interesting living somewhere where people are regularly robbed, stabbed, shot in the face and home invasion-ed, but it isn't for me. I will be further from Rob's shop, which sucks, but isn't the end of the world. A short drive isn't that big of a deal I guess. In other news, there is not enough work at TMi and it's a little bit scary. No more word of layoffs right now, but I wouldn't be that surprised. Also, Terminator: Salvation was awesome. I don't understand the reviews that complain of bad acting and plot holes. I can see no bad acting anywhere in the movie, and the only plot holes are the same time travel paradox issues that have existed since the first film so I don't get that either. Basically, I thought it was total fan-service. Great action, a cool story, and tons of references to the old classics. I really need to walk the dog and take a shower. Bye.
