Avcon 2009
Avcon this year was a blast and I'd forgotten how fun going to a con could be. Going in a group really helps and it was fun to hang out with some new Couch Warriors. True, the venue was really impressive though there was a bit too much of a lean away from anime screenings (there was only one screening room). Video games was pretty fun and it was good to see CW doing well, taking 3 of the top 4 in a tourney. Though one of them lost to a seven year old, that was pretty funny.
Good times all round, got to talk to some ppl that I hadn't seen in AGES, saw silverbutterfly again, which was AWESOME and I even managed to meet "Daniel Radcliffe" (inside joke, d/w)
Too bad tiger flights were cruddy and I accidentally got up at 3am (stupid phone being on melbourne instead of adelaide time). Stupid stupid early cheap flights are a killer. Ended up spending the whole day crashed in my room and I missed some movies for MIFF. Oh well...I guess I'll have to catch that doco on a male porn star another time. Heading out for the last two sessions of the day now. Ciaos!
