relocating...
okay. so the storm has made a shift, and not for the better. it's as if it's following us. this only goes to show, you can't run from God. however, i can protect myself from his wrath. God, no offense, but i've got to do what i can to protect my family.
we were on our way to austin yesterday, but the traffic was so horrible that we changed our minds. my mom and i didn't think it was such a good idea to stay in texas because of the projected path. therefore we made a turn to go to louisiana. took all of about 2 and a half hours, not bad at all considering we sat in traffic for austin for about 1 and a half. anyhow, Monica called and said we should go to her dad's girlfriends house here in LA. so, here we are, but we have to leave now. they declared a mandatory evacuation for the Perish. we're going to the law office where Mitzi works. it served as a hurricane shelter for years and is built storm-proof. so, we feel safe that we'll be okay. we almost split up, but nobody wants to leave anyone behind. i'm not splitting up. these people are like family to me. i know my mom and sister don't know them very well, but i do and i'm not parting with either part of this family. so, we're leaving here in a few hours. we've got plenty of food and water to last about 3-4 days. i'll see you all when we get through this thing. i love you all, be safe.
