This past week-and-a-half, I had more first's than I think I've ever had crammed into the same period before.
Drove a tractor.
Went to a farm progress show.
Drove a motorcycle.
Did a front 2 1/2 flip off a diving board.
Convinced an adult to buy me hard alcohol (for culinary purposes only)
Set ice cream on fire with that alcohol.
Went inner-tubing on a lake (and had some spectacular, painful wipeouts... ski team: my nickname lives on!)
Water-skied. (Got up first time)
Hacked through the password protections on a Windows system.
Ate a "cheese toasty" (which the rest of the world calls "grilled cheese", but it's a first because it's a different name. Go figure.).
Went through downtown Chicago.
Spent a day in Champaign-Urbana, IL.
Had 6 different ethnic foods in a single meal (Indian, Norweigan, French, Mexican, American, Italian).
Deep-fried a pancake.
Played bridge.
Wrote a full song for guitar and vocals.
Went wine- and cheese-tasting.
Felt romantically torn between two women (due to a weird set of circumstances).
There's probably some smaller things that happened too, but either they're too minor to report or entirely forgotten. Go figure, huh?
Now I'm exhausted. Spent seven hours in a car driving from Decatur, IL to Appleton, WI, then began RLA training less than an hour after arriving here at Lawrence. Bed, meet Erik. Erik, Bed. You two are about to become great friends...
