Comment: Ehh,...here's a christmas related drabble. I'm suffering from a long-term writer's block ;_;
Synopsis: [Kid!AU] Kibum and Hyukjae's first meeting.
Kibum recalled their first meeting quite well. It had started out under the light snowfall around midmorning of December. He was eight and that happened to be the very first time he had seen snow.
Feelings of thrill, excitement, and amazement grew the moment he stepped out of his house, all bundled up in an outfit fitful for such a day. After a long moment of taking in the beautiful scenery around him, the first thing that came to mind was to build a snowman.
With that in mind, the young boy proceeded on, rolling the snow until he built one up to his knees. Soon after, the body and head were constructed. He then placed them on top of each other and took a step back with a satisfied look on his face.
"Hi!"
Kibum jumped a little in surprise and turned around. A boy, possibly the same age as he, stood a few feet away from him with a bright gummy smile on his face.
He was hesitant but eventually, he greeted back. "...Hi."
"I'm Hyukjae." The other introduced as he closed in. "I live across the street and I want to be friends. Can I help out?"
Kibum looked at the boy strangely. He couldn't help but to think that Hyukjae was an odd one but nonetheless, he gave a nod of consent. Another bright smile was his reply and together, they had managed to complete the snowman.
"I think we've done a good job, huh?" Hyukjae clapped the snow off his gloved hands.
"Mm." He hummed in agreement, his eyes focused on their masterpiece.
He heard Hyukjae chuckle. "I like you. Let's hang out again sometime!"
Kibum blinked and just when he was about to turn, Hyukjae had already ran back toward his home. Watching the other leave, he couldn't help but to shake his head and let a short smile spread across his lips.
Sounds like a good plan.
