i dont wanna put any spoilers in here for anyone who hasnt seen it, but if the directors/producers/script writers had actually taken the time to sit down and read the dark phoenix saga, one of the BEST BOOKS BY JOHN BYRNE, EVER, the plot, and continuance of the movie wouldnt have felt so dumbed down. i liked the movie, but i definitely think i was let down by the farcical story created by ratner and his squad. in fact, i still have all of my original return of the X-men comic books. it kinda made me lose faith in what i had grown to love as a child.
