"...You and your gravitational pull..."

I hauled my Gilson to the mechanic's house today, and he helped me a lot. Turns out, I just had one ground wire wrong. Now, as soon as I get a new, non- burned up coil, it oughta run.

Of course, I didnt come home alone. We loaded my Gilson on the trailer, along with my new baby.

It's an old, old Sears GT 16. Vari-drive, electric lift, the works. Best of all- it runs! It just backfires when you give it a lot of gas. I think it's a carb problem, since the valves are supposed to be okay. I figure to have my Gilson going by Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday at the latest. Then I can start on the Sears.

It ran when the guy got it, but it backfired. So, he took it apart and adjusted the valves, but gave it to me before he put it back together. My job? Re-assemble. I think the backfiring is a carb problem, myself.

This puts me up to 4 garden tractors. 2.5 of them have engines, none run yet. Two have engines installed, one has an un-installed engine, and the other needs an engine. Once I get the Gilson running, I'mma start on the Sears. I hope. For now, though, it's just rolled in my shed with all the parts piled around it.

Bounce. Prepare for an emotionally charged entry here in a bit...maybe. I may start writing it after I post this, because I'm feeling a bit...weird.

I love my baby girl...
