The main point on this series of jrock pimp posts is to get more of my flist into jrock, seeing as how it's mainly kpop it'd be nice to talk about my fandom more with others~

About the Band
★Formed in early 2003 by Miku, Kannon and Bou. Teruki joined about three months after the band was formed.

★For the first year they only played live performances with no single releases.
★As of now, they have eighteen singles, five albums, three EPs, and eight DVDs.
★As of last month, An Cafe is on a hiatus and no official word on when they will be returning. Rumors of disbandment have come along but nothing official yet.

Miku, next to Teruki is the loudest and most outgoing of Antic Cafe. Usually during interviews or video comments he can hog up to more than half of the entire video.He's also the one who made up the word "Nyappy" and tends to make lots of words up on the spot. Apparently when he was in school he was excellent in math and sports, but was terrible in literature, though he still does a good job at writing most of the bands lyrics. Miku has tons of silly really cute, silly quirks. He does a excellent imitation of Donald Duck. He also thinks he can win in battles with Febreeze. He takes his Donald Duck plushie with him to every concert as a good luck charm. He works his hardest he can on his english because he wants to communicate with as many as his fans on a personal level as possible, he always tries to practice it at as many concerts as he can. Also, Miku is a huge fan of anime and cosplay! He even cosplayed as Ciel from Kuroshitsuji once. Miku also likes jpop a lot, with Ayumi Hamasaki being one of his favorite artists.

Back when I was super into Antic Cafe Kannon was one of my favorite members. Kannon is the quietest out of everybody, his style is the most "edgy" out of everybody. But even though Kannon is the most quiet, and often gives the shortest responses. He's always in the back ground though laughing his butt off at all the silly things everyone else does. However, he has his moments were he's just flat out "what the fuck" crazy. He lives with Teruki, which I personally think as pretty funny considering how Teruki is the loudest and Kannon being the quietest. He's gotten all of the oddball roles in al of Antic Cafe's PVs though. He was in a full out dog costume for one, and was a dorky nerd for another just to name a few. He can be really cute when he wants to. One of Kannon's favorite bands are Plastic Tree, he talked about them in a few comments and talking about how he had been to some of their concerts and he liked them a lot. He's pretty much how I got into Plastic Tree.LOL. He gets picked on by the other members a lot for being such a "Quiet Panda". But when he's drunk his whole personality changes to be really loud and outgoing.

When I started listening to Antic Cafe, Teruki was my least favorite. I don't know why the hell this was or what the hell was wrong with me. But he just was. He joined the band three months after it was formed and the only one who had a previous band history, he used to be in a band called "Feathers Blue". Teruki is the most crack shit memberof Antic Cafe hands down. He's considered the leader because of his age and maturity and ability to think things all the way though. He offers the best advice out of everyone in the band. But by hell is he weird. Him and Kannon have lived together for about five years. According to Kannon he walks around their apartment with no clothes all the time and just randomly take his clothes off too. Teruki says it's because he can find clothes too uncomfortable sometimes. When he talks he sounds..really funny idfk. He has a really silly accent.

Takuya is one of the two members new members to join An Cafe after Bou left. He was only nineteen when he joined, and he just turned 21 at the beginning of this month. While he's quiet like Kannon, he's a lot more shy rather than Kannon who chooses to be quiet because of choice. Takuya is always really nervous he'll say the wrong thing on accident and he wants to keep the best image he can.When he was in school he was an excellent student always getting the highest marks.Since he just joined the band there isn't as much info on his as the other members but oh my God he is adorable. His strong point is that he is a good listener and but his weak point is that he can think very negatively. Once in an interview he said if he ever liked someone he would be to shy to tell them his feelings because he has a fear of being rejected. He thinks a motherly type girl who smiles a lot is the best kind of girl and he once said the best part about being born a male is he can protect a girl. Which when I read that I seriously spazzed out because I thought that was so cute. He says at heart he's still a ten year old boy and when he opens up to people more he is apparently quiet the jokester and plays lots of pranks on people. I'd love to see him talk more in interviews and stuff, it seems like everything that comes out of his mouth is just adorable and since he admires Miku so much I hope some of Miku's personality rubs off and he can have the courage to talk more~

As you can tell, not much is known about Yuuki. LMFAO. He joined the band the exact time that Takuya did, An Cafe didn't have a keyboardist before Yuuki, but they had used keyboard in their songs a lot previously. Yuuki got a shit ton of rage from fans at first. A lot of fans were being like, fucking ridiculous and they didn't like him for the stupidest shit ever. Saying he didn't fit with the fashion style of An Cafe and he looked stupid with his hair and what not. It was ridiculous, he got more shit than Takuya who was Bou's replacement. I felt so sorry for the poor kid ;______;<3 Actually Yuuki's curly hair isn't real, it's a wig.LOL..LOL. He also always wears glasses 24/7. Personally I think he looks a lot cuter with out the wig and glasses but I still love Yuuki. The other members tease him about his hair all the time calling it an afro and try to stick things in there all the time, it's quite funny.LOL. In an interview once he said was a really curious kid and when he wanted to find out how everything worked all the time, he was really into science. His worst habit would have to be that he sets the alarm super early but he wont get up for like two hours. His other hobbies are going to the arcade to play games and reading manga like One Piece, Death Note, and Bleach.

Bou was a huge favorite when he was around. He looked very, very feminine and wore skirts and dresses quite often. He was kind of the bands mascot being very cute all the time. He decided to leave the band because he had different goals and wanted to follow them and decided that leaving was the only way he could do it. Also, both of his parents were very ill and he had to go take care of them. Bou was a very, very shy child growing up and almost no one ever noticed him and he had a huge fear of talking in front of crowds and would always turn red or pink. When he had to transfer schools in 5th grade he would cry becase he was so shy he did not want to have to face trying to make new friends because it scared him. He met a guy though who shared the same feelings and gradually he got over his shyness. In middle school he was much more into baseball and wanted to become a pro but it was his sisters interest in music that got him into jrock and preforming. He had to transfer again his 9th grade year and his parents had bought Luna Sea tickets for his sister, his sister had invited him to go and he said from there he knew what he wanted to do in life.
A lot of fans are still really upset Bou left the band, but I think what happened has happened. I miss Bou tons and his graduation concert was one of the saddest things ever, especially his last song.(I still cry every time I see it.) But Bou did what was best for him so I am happy for him.<3

This isn't my favorite song by Antic Cafe, it's very, very pop. Almost border line jpop but I still like it a lot. More visualy, the dance they do is super cute and the beach scenes are sweet too. People were freaking because Kannon was wearing a skirt saying the management was trying to make him like Bou. Uh, Kannon wore skirts in the super early days of the band so yeah. LOL.
Aroma
They had a really "visual-kei" look in this video with the suits and all, I liked this a lot because this was a lot more sophisticated sounding than what they had usually come out with the two new members.
Cherry Saku Yuuki
My favorite single with the two new members, the song is really up beat yet super, super catchy! I thought the PV just accentuated the song and it didn't over power it at all. Defiantly a must have song~
The Hero Without a Name
This song was actually used in the Darker Than Black second OP. The first time An Cafe's music had ever been used in an anime. I thought the song was pretty okay but it was super cool that it was put with an anime.<3
Snow Scene
One of An Cafe's much more "rock" sounding songs. I like this style quiet a lot and this is a really pretty PV too~
Bonds Kizuna
This is my all time favorite An Cafe song without any doubt whatsoever. Just reading the lyrics and hearing all the emotion Miku puts into the song is just so sjdlkgsj. This also has a short movie to it that the band did. The video has short snipets of the movie, you should def watch it! It's about 15-20 minutes long and you can find it here and here.
It's also the last song that they preformed at Bou's last live and every time I see this performance I get all sjdlkfjslk about because God damn it if the PV didn't have enough emotion in it this one goes through the roof x10. It was so sad to see everyone crying. ;_______;
