Had a relatively interesting day yesterday.
Just as i was about to settle down to my daily morning routine in the office, one of my colleague came running to me in the pantry. Apparently my supervisor who was on reservist was looking for me and had an errand for me to do.
The errand was for me to go to Sim Lim Square, purchase a 'tote pointer', get it gift wrapped and deliver it to Sentosa Resort where our CEO's PA will be waiting. And it doesnt help matters that the PA was already 'kan-cheong' (is tat how it's spelled?) as she needs the gift by noon and the shops in Sim Lim only opens roughly around 11am. Hurhur.
Oh and not to mention i have no idea what exactly a 'tote pointer' looks like!!
CEO's who simply loves to ask for last minute things, don't you just love them? hurhur.
Least to say she doesn't even know i exist, which doesn't really matter considering my contract is ending pretty soon.
Thank god for the IT guy who agreed to go along with me as he needed to buy er... dopod batteries for the CEO?
Got what ever it was to get the gift purchase and wrapped up and off i went to Sentosa via cab. No thanks to the cab driver with seemingly bad attitute. tsk. Must be the sweltering heat. It does that to the best of us sometimes.. hurhur.
After delivering the gift and since it was close to lunch time, i went against the idea to visit my UWW colleagues cause the heat was not making me feel that well.
Met up with Dee at City Hall. Been quite some time since i last saw her!
And coincidentally we had lunch at Burger King. We seem to always find ourselves there when we decide to meet up for lunch! haha..
Oh yea was in the lift on the way to lunch today and a female colleague from another department on the 14th floor (lets call her A)was asking another colleague of mine (lets call her B) if she managed to buy the gift yesterday at sim lim and bring it to sentosa etcetc, and B was like 'huh?'
And i was standing at the back at the lift going "I knew it." Somehow everything i seem to do here credit will go to this other person.
Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooo?!?!?!!?
Am i missing something here? tsk
So there i was at the back of the packed lift looking at these two colleagues of mine, observing their conversation and somehow feeling somewat amused. So when A realised that B wasn't the one who ran the errand, she actually asked the blur B who went? And B looking so blur i decided to 'save' her skin and blurted out 'me'.
Wahahaha the look of surprise and embarrasment on A was hilarious. I think she was too 'paiseh' that she decided to stop talking and stare at lift door, which luckily for her opened quickly enough so that she could make a quick exit.
Sure it does still irks me a bit that things i do here tend to go unnoticed and other people who doesnt deserve it seems to be getting the credit. But oh well. *shrugs*
I'm leaving soon anyways. So good riddance to bad rubbish.
Definitely a learning point for me.
So after work yesterday met up with Kelly and Danial for initially what we thought we could grab a quick dinner before making our way to AsiaWorks cause Danial's Guest Event was on that day. However as things usually go we only had time to pack something from LJS and made our way to AW so that Danial won't have a broken agreement. lol =P
I actually had fun being back at AW. Caught up with a few peeps there, had a relatively huge late night supper (thanks Marcus!), interesting conversations and got ourselves a ride home in Marcus's car (again thank you Marcus!!).
Been quite awhile since i had an interesting full day.
LoveItLoveItLoveIt!
So here we are now on Friday.
Good thing about Fridays is that the weekend is around the corner!
Which means extra sleep! lolx!
Besides that, i'm totally looking forward to this weekend.
My first chinese/korean wedding tomorrow andd i've made a committment to cook something for the family on Sunday! hurhur!
I think some AW peeps are meeting up at Vivo to go to Cafe Del Mar in Sentosa tonight.
hmm but i'm on a veryyyy extremely tight budget this month
So i think i shall go to the Mosiac festival at Esplanade instead to catch the free performances.
tho it looks like i might be going on my own again since most peeps i asked have other committments.
Oh well! More me time! yay!
Oklah i better get back to work.
Salute!
