<3 It finally happened
On Thursday night, March 21st, Raph proposed to me and I said yes! It took me completely by surprise, as I had pretty much given up all hope. I myself had been plotting to propose to HIM in May. Not a lot of people know, I finally told my mother today. I'm trying hard to get the word out in person or over the phone as much as possible. I'll wait a while before posting it on FB.
He took me out to Robbies, which is OUR place. I didn't even want to go out that night as we had gone to Cora's in the morning, and I thought Raph was exaggerating, going out TWICE in one day. But I let him win, (thank God!). After we had our meal, he just cuts me off mid-story, reaches down in his coat while saying "I have a question for you." He quickly turns around and shows me a box "Will you mary me?". I just sat there slacked jawed and wide eyed. It think I said something stupid like "What are you talking about?" Then I said yes. :) I couldn't stop staring at it. Raph laughed at me because I would take a bite out of my dessert and look at my ring, alternatively. I told him he should have proposed after desert because I couldn't taste anything out of excitement.
The ring was the one I chose last May. It's a Canadian diamond, from the NWT. Turns out, he bought the ring WHILE I was in the NWT! :)
