Man this is hard. I was checking up on my friend Adam via Facebook when I saw that he joined a group in memoriam of Mike Seggie, one of his friends who died this week in Afganistan. I was browsing through his pictures and I recognized another face from the newspaper's front page: Chad Horn. Both Mike and Chad seemed like good friends. I saw a pic

indeed...being a soldier is an incredible commitment. It's so much more than just politics.

*big hugs* I can't imagine what it must be like. All of my friends that joined the military seem to have stayed on Canadian soil so far.

This is why I have finally learned to value my place of work. We fortify tanks and light armored vehicles. We protect people like Adam. Reading this, and things like it, reminds me why it's so important.
