To sum up my current life in a few words: overworked, underpaid, stressed out, and in a desperate need of a manicure. My workload right now is INSANE! On the plus side, I'm banking hours like never before and I leave work feeling very productive. Oddly enough, I think that deep down, I much prefer this than the slow burn of boredom and lack of motivation when work is slow. I'd much rather explode than implode....Go out with a bang! That's me! :D At least I have the energy level to keep up with this. Also my upcoming business trip to Toronto will be a much sought relief. I was paid 5 days ago and I'm already broke..but my travel advance will take care of that problem quite nicely. I will be fed at the feds expense. I'm also looking forward to flying Porter airlines...they seem really fancy. Oh, it makes me feel all grown up! lol. I plan on practically living at the archives though, as I'm supposed to kill two birds with one stone over there; and the fact that the provincial archives are open evenings and Saturdays, I will tend to want to hunt for a long time.
While I'm gone I will get Raph to babysit my cats. This turns out well as my mom just called me to ask me if she could stay at my apartment for a few days. I live really close to the Civic Hospital and my aunt just got airlifted there yesterday. So it's a great opportunity for my mom to be nearby. It's a little creepy though to have her in my things without me being there. I will take care to remove any incriminating things...My mom is a Scorpio and will snoop in my things until she finds that something, whatever it is. She actually admitted that she was glad my cats weren't gonna be there because she's afraid of cats...Only my mom could be afraid of cuddly little balls of fur.
