And oh was it good to be back. I missed everything from scooping ice cream to seeing familiar faces. I'm so glad that we changed up the food menu though. No more bugers...thank goodness and we now have paninis and crepes (savory and sweet). I no longer smell like burger grease at the end of the day. Woo hoo!
I ended up working a 10-7 today. I could have done the 10-9:30 but that's death right there. I wouldn't be able to function after that. I was a little bummed that I only was able to have a 15 minute break since it was quite busy. Oh well, at least I had time to eat. But after work, Mom and I went to B good for
yummy burgers and sweet potato fries.
Work schedule for this week is kinda iffy. I'm suppose to work a 11 to either 5 or 7 tomorrow and I have no clue when I'm working for Sunday and Monday.
Although, this job will settle for now, I definitely don't want to be here past May if I can help it. However, with this economy, I might have to start my sixth year at the Brigham's/Lobelia. It will be five in February. I hope to maybe find something a bit closer to where I live since it takes me about four hours to commute round trip. This hellish commute wears me out, especially when I was working four days here and three days at the Panorama/Playbill internship. However, I deserve at least one day off to refuel. No more 50-60 hour work weeks for me anymore. Well, that's at least until I get a job that is full-time, pays decent, and is something I absolutely love.
