Alright last night, battle of the bands, was completely a comedy show for me and rachel (except the good bands, in which I have cramps still in my toes from)
Some things to sum things up.
We drove over with mike and cassie to the lighthouse and get lost, because their friggity frackin sign is so little.
Next we enter, the first band was so awesome, that i even forgot their name, but they were amazing, and they were from richmond and opened for the band The Early November
The drummer *sigh* Our friend..
The singer (seth) from Almost Always is so nice.
The next band, well we'll just say they had only been together for 2 weeks, they needed some practice.. no wait.. make that ALOT of practice, and they will be very good one day.
Almost always, they had a very good show (they came in at 3rd)
Addison, wow they were good.(placing 2nd) Even though their little friend's that were girls were getting on my nerves, and all the guys in the crowd for them smelled like weed. And also after the show i found out The guitarist was some guy who I worked with at Busch Gardens about 2 yrs. ago, who i had ALWAYS wanted to meet while working (but for some reason i could never talk to him).
During the shows me and rachel decided, well we have to go to the bathroom, the only open bathroom at the lighthouse was the one in the room where all the bands were..
We didn't want to feel like the band we're hearing us go, so we decided to drive to farm fresh,
At farm fresh heres what happened:
(me) Sir? Where are the restrooms?
(old man) O it's in a can or...
(another man interrupts) I think she asked for the restroom
(old man) ohhh hahahahah the can... it's in the front of the store.
The reason why me and her find this hilarious is because the restroom is actually refered to as "the can"
So then me and rachel leave, head back over to the show.
East November was the winner and the best band there (der). They were all college folks and they had a girl singer, who reminded me of Evanescence (sp?)
And then some really conceded band got on... their singing SUCKED.. and some of the first stuff they said was "Hey you guys!!! You ready for some REAL rock and roll???, non of that other crap this is real rock and roll!"
In my own opinion they were the real crap.
I think alot of people walked out the building because they were so horrible.
Also earlier in the day two guys appeared in the show playing the piano guitar and singing.. don't get me wrong they were VERY talented, but me and rachel kept bursting out in laughter because they guy would be singing really high then all the sudden his voice would go extremely low, his facial expressions were hilarious when he did this.
Then some from autumn to ashes wannabes got on the stage..
their screamer sounded like he was saying "I GOTTAAA PEEEEEEE!!!!!!" everytime he would scream, me and rachel had to walk out of the building laughing so hard.. then when we entered again we heard the guy scream "PPEPEEEEEEEE ONN MY ARRMMMM!!!".. also the lead singer seemed to be struggling with his microphone, he unplugged it so many freaking times, what an idiot, everytime it was unplug he would tie the cord around his arm more and more (we were discussing how pretty soon his hand would fall off if he wrapped it around anymore times) o man.. good times.. good times.
Then a bunch of awesome bands played, we left and then decided when we hit greenbriar parkway "O MAH GOSH!! we wanna go back!!" so we drive around for about an hour trying to find the place again.
Well we find it, and we cant find a parking space..
So we end up parking on a curb ( a handicap wheel chair curb) Then once we step out of the car... it seems like a bunch of people are screaming at us outside the windows of their homes
"NAH AWH YOU BESTA NOT BE PARKIN UP ON THAT CURB!!"
"Im gonna call a tow truck on you!!"
"excuse me mam!? I know your not parking on our curb"
ect...
So me and rachel jump back in the car, scared that we are going to be shot and block some car in, in the parking lot, we walk back in and watch the last band..
Elsewhere, wow they were the 2nd best band their, they had a violinist, which made it actually sound so much better of music.
I love the lighthouse. I wish to return.
I kinda got lazy in the ended because im getting ready to go see a movie and go on Sr. Trip tonight. How exciting I heart Snowboarding
