Why can I not be myself and be intillectual without being judged by stupid high school students and other non-educated beings roaming through our streets polluting us with stupidity and ignorance? Everywhere are posters advertising new movies, new television shows, and new bands; every new experiment is the same and has one goal: exceeding the amount of money in the bank account of a friend in hopes of becoming the next Marylin Monroe or Elvis Presley. Where are our true role models? The nature-loving Henry Thoreau. Radicle artists like John Lennon or Andy Warhol. The frowned-upon minority of the thoughtful and well read are the single group who collaborate the ideas of the artists who once inspired the world, hoping to have an effect on the narrow-minded obsessing over celebrities they will never meet. Those who take pride in their learning are placed along-side modern hippies, criticized for their thoughtfullness and awareness of the future. Is the world destined to run in continuous circles, wearing always different clothes, but with the same thoughts, lead by the narrow-minded stockholders and beautiful, never exploring the practical thoughts of others?
