i've got a bad feeling about this

It's been 7 days since I've arrived at my new unit (or first unit rather). The unit in question is 2nd battalion 1st Marines (or just 2/1 for short). i'm in weapons company, 81's platoon, as in 81mm mortars. There are so many things on the schedule for the next few weeks that its quite overwhelming. I have a mortar shoot on the 25th of this month, a personal weapons shoot (M16's and such) on the 27th, humvee school sometime this month, TRAP school (stands for tactical rescue and air patrol or somethin like that, it has lots of patrols and hikes and stuff like that), end of february or first thing march,we go to sea on a ship for a work up, which is like a little trip on a ship (like 2 weeks long at a time) to prepare you for deployment on a ship that'll be for months at a time...basically so you get used to being seasick and puking all the time. and on top of that I have to prepare 2 classes to present to the platoon, one on the articles of the code of conduct, and another on radio procedures. and on top of even that, I have to complete these MCI courses (marine corps institute) for points toward promotion. so yea..i have more than I can consume on my plate right now..but hey, I've done it before, so I'll be ok. One good thing though is some more free time (to do these things..har har) but no really..sometimes we get off at like 3 in the afternoon..thats only judging from the one day we got off that early in the first week I've been here, but hey, one can hope. We PT every single day here. regular PT runs, flak jacket runs, flak jacket runs with 81mm mortar equipment...yea that one sucked in particular. so anyway..I don't have much time left..right no I'm here at the SMP (single marine program) rec center and theres a stupid time limit on computers, but I hope to update more this weekend to fill in some more of the details.
